This weekend was a massive step-up for the Pickup Truck Racing Championship, and to see it were over 38,000 people. The venue included the German Touring Car, Formula Palmer Audi, Pickup Trucks, Formula Three Thousand Euro Series, VW Polos and a guest appearance with a demonstration from Lewis Hamilton in his F1 car. During this weekend Neil suffered a few problems, on Friday night we ended up taking the gearbox out due to an oil leak, and found that we were missing a very important part of it, so it wouldn’t wobble around in the car and in the second race Sunday, the Clutch went despite a very good start to the race. However we found yesterday when we took the car to the engine builders that the pickup had a jumped a tooth in the engine! Nevertheless Neil came away from the weekend with a 18th, 15th and 245 points. This means that Neil is in 14th position in the Overall Championship. To see picture from the weekend visit out gallery.
