Relssert Racing’s Neil Tressler will run a new 2.3 litre Vauxhall powered engine in the 2013 Pickup Truck Racing Series, after making a late decision to switch to the unit instead of Ford.
Tressler, who’s racing activity in the Pickup Truck Racing Championship dates back to 2007, including a fourth place finish in the overall championship and second place finish in the Rockingham championship in 2011, will switch to the unit as he aims to challenge amongst the championship’s front-runners in 2013.
“I’m very excited about racing with the new Vauxhall powered unit in the 2013 season,” said Tressler. “The unit will be just as competitive as the Ford Duratec engine, so I believe that we can push hard at the front going forward.”
The 2013 Pickup Truck Racing Series will get underway at Pembrey Circuit on 6/7 April.
