Tressler returns to the Pickup Truck Racing Championship at Donington Park - 27/06/12

Relssert Racing’s Neil Tressler will return to the Pickup Truck Racing Championship this weekend (30th June/1st July), as the championship heads to Donington Park for rounds 10 & 11, in support of the FIA British Truck Grand Prix in front of bumper crowds.

The Pickup Truck Racing front-runner, whose activity in the championship dates back to 2007, including a fourth place finish in the overall standings and a second place finish in the Rockingham championship in 2011, returns this weekend after making his debut in the NASCAR affiliated EURO RACECAR NASCAR Touring Series, supporting the DTM at Brands Hatch back in May.

The Warwickshire based driver’s absence from Brands Hatch and Rockingham leaves him currently sat in 13th position in the championship standings, but after an impressive run of form on the renowned Leicestershire circuit, Tressler will be expecting an impressive display ahead of his visit this weekend.

“I’m really looking forward to returning to the Pickup Truck Racing Championship at Donington Park, I can't wait to get out on track in front of such a large audience.”

“My aim for the weekend is to establish myself within the top ten of the championship again after my absence. Donington Park is a circuit that I have produced some strong results on in the past, so I’m really looking to achieve top six finishes there this weekend.”

Qualifying for the Pickup Truck Racing Championship will get underway on Saturday, 30th June, at 14:15, with rounds 10 & 11 on Sunday, 1st July, at 10:10 and 15:50 respectively.
